Hi. I've never posted in anything like this (I'm a very private person in terms of my personal life), but I figure maybe some of the members of this community could help me.

Anxiety Dx: OCD
Meds? If so, which?: NONE, had to stop meds recently due to other health issues
Alternative treatments? none
Therapy? none
Lifestyle helps? puzzles, TV, computer (online videos, fanart, etc.)
How are you feeling lately? not bad
What would you like from this group? support and advice

I've had it since I was in elementary school. The only problem I actually still have major problems dealing with is relaxing while reading certain materials (e.g., novels, fanfics). The thing is that: if I'm just skimming a fanfic or not actually reading a book from the beginning, but reading a section of it, then I'm relaxed & react normally (e.g., for fanfics- I react normally to funny fics, sad fics, & fics with mush). But, most of the time, when I'm actually reading the fanfic or reading the book from the beginning, I'm not relaxed- I'm pretty tense. I hope people understand the problem I'm trying to describe. In terms of reading books, I know I relax more if I'm eating/ drinking something while I'm reading (e.g., coffee shop). In terms of fanfics, I KNOW in the past I've been able to be very relaxed & I was able to read very fast. Also, in terms of fanfics: I'm pretty sure that if I were to take a break from fanfics/ the computer altogether & do other things, I'll become so anxious to get back to reading them that I'll be pretty relaxed (if you all know what I mean), but I don't know if it will help now that I've had to stop a medication for ADD. So, I was wondering: are there any OCD sufferers in this community who have this problem & do you have any advice as to how to be relaxed? I hope all of this makes sense. Thanks.

Edit: when I say "mush" in regards to fanfics, I'm talking about romance scenes
Edit: For fanfics, I would be mostly or always be reading them on the computer (not an iPad or Nook, or other such thing.
Update on OCD: lately (this year-2016), it's gotten a bit worse. Mostly, thinking/ doing certain things are bad.

Meds? If so, which? Lexapro/Wellbutrin xl
Alternative treatments? Well, I'm into self healing/inner healing. Crystal healing.
Therapy? Sort of.
Lifestyle helps? Nothing really offline going on right now.
How are you feeling lately? A lot of ups and downs lately.
What would you like from this group? I am extremely isolated . I don't have a lot offline friends or support. Right now I'm living with my parents and Grandfather for the most part. Which isn't a bad thing really. I am really looking for friends who understand mental and emotional issues.

Meds? If so, which? Effexor XR (150mg) & Tenoretic (no effexor at moment because can't afford it)
Alternative treatments? probably should look into some since money is very tight
Therapy? I was seeing a counselor before I lost my job in Feb...I need him more now.
Lifestyle helps? Looking for some...
How are you feeling lately? moderately depressed which amplifies my anxiety because I am not around people much ever now.
What would you like from this group? Just looking for people that understand the same issues I am going through. I have found that people that have never experienced anxiety or depression tend to not believe your symptoms and feelings.

I have terrible anxiety all the time (and no insurance, no doctor, and no money for medication), but things are often the very worst soon after I get up -- absolutely terrifying anxiety. Later in the day things often calm down a bit, and they are least-bad in the late evening.

Is there some dietary thing I can do here? Should I eat more before going to sleep? Less before going to sleep? Get up on the night to eat something? Eat a lot the moment I wake?

Any ideas will be welcome.

Unlike other pervious attempts at shows of this topic, we're interesting in following the entire journey and actually helping, as opposed to exploiting it. I've attached the casting notice. Hi All,

I just came bk from doctors earlier and all my blood pressure is fine so the doctor said its difinitly anxiety. I have been prescribed on anti depressiants for my anxiety coz i feel dizzy alot and i hope it helps but my mum will fetch them tomoz for me as i will have to take them in the mornings.

On the way to the docs i had a severe anxiety attack i couldn't move as i thought i was gonna pass out and i had to sit down, so i was 10 mins late for the appointment thats all 4 now.

Hi All,

I've been struggling with my anxiety for about year and a half now and since before i met my lover i was fine but i don't think its anybodys fault as those things just happen.

I am finding it hard to tackle my symptons:

My most common ones is faintness and dizzyiness.

but I do have other symptons like i cant breath, burning sensations, aching pains all over, feel weak at times and shaky, my legs do feel like jelly each day and i tried everything for my anxiety and it just comes bk even it does help at the time.

does anyone else have those symptons like I do as i don't want to feel alone in this as i still get worried, even thought i've seen a doctor alot and he tells me its anxiety and at times its hard to believe as its not like me really as i use to be 100% alot, but now I cannot be well like I use to be.

As i use to go college as i had to quit coz of my anxiety and now am stuck at home alot.

Leave me some comments plz as i need the help.
